Oilersnation Radio Episode 169 – Defense of the Oilers, Jake DeBrusk & Kraken Preview

It’s Friday afternoon and that means a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio is here to help you end your week with an hour of all things Edmonton Oilers. On this week’s show, we watched the Oilers defense stand together, Mikko Koskinen’s revenge tour, a preview of tonight’s game against the Kraken, and much more.

To kick off this week’s podcast, we started by looking at the Jake DeBrusk rumors that resumed last week after asking the Bruins for a fresh start elsewhere. Would it make sense for the Oilers to take on the hometown kid as part of a reclamation project? Personally, I don’t think so. Sticking to potential commercial targets, I asked the boys what type of player the Oilers should be looking for in the commercial market right now and whether or not he is a striker. Shifting gears we thought back to last weekend’s Nation Viewing Party that took place at Campio last weekend and how amazing it was to have everyone in the same room together. Since it has been almost two years since we have been able to host an event, I also wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who attended the party and made the evening so special. Getting back to the Oilers, we got a glimpse of tonight’s game against the Seattle Kraken and wondered if the makeshift defensive squad could keep it together again. Finally, we ended this week’s podcast with another round of performers from Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold to recap what has been a very busy week here in Edmonton.
